Since Colorama’s founding, we’ve continuously explored new ways to share our resources, knowledge and to bring like-minded individuals and collectives together. We run an ongoing workshop program, curate a yearly event-series and host a membership programme.
Workshops
The Colorama Workshop is a platform for sharing our resources with the wider community, helping people to learn, to connect and to develop new skills in printing, publishing and book-binding outside of institutional structures.
Besides our educational program, we host institutions, organizations and studios for custom workshops and collaborate with museums and Art Book Fairs to develop formats for their programming.
Membership Program
We offer an Open Access Program for the FLINTA* community with little resources to access our studio space and use the tools they need to self-publish or produce art.
New members will be admitted starting January 2025. The application process will be announced in December 2024.
Event Series
We host free public events that we conceptualise for our community and realise with public funding. Recently Publishing as Collective Practice and in 2022/23 Clubhouse Surgery.
Residencies
Since 2016, we have hosted residency programs that are free of charge and aim to spotlight outstanding talent and social engagement.
